Structured cabling provides organization and standardization of connectors and transmission media for computer and telephone networks, making the cable infrastructure independent of the type of application and layout, allowing connection to a network of servers, workstations, printers, telephones, switches, hubs, routers, among others. The structured cabling system uses the RJ45 connector and UTP cable as standard media for data transmission, analogous to the electrical outlet standard that allows the electrical power supply to equipment regardless of the type of application.
